I lead the IBM UK Healthcare & Life Sciences business across all offerings, solutions and services we offer to the Market. My career spans over 25 years in the IT Industry o/w I have spent 9 years focused on Healthcare and 5 years across Local Government (including Social Care). As part of my work I collaborate extensively with Partners in the Healthcare Ecosystem so together we can deliver digital solutions that make a difference. We focus on Cloud, Security, Analytics and AI as our key technologies to enable digital transformation.
What you will bring to the Health & Social Care Council and the techUK Health & Social Care programme:
I am a natural collaborator and have served on the techUK Health & Social Care council over the last three years, most recently as one of the Vice chairs. This has enabled my to develop a strong understanding of how the Industry can work together to ensure progress both for the NHS & Social Care as well as Industry is made in the digital delivery of Health and Care services.
I have a strong network in the Industry and NHS, which I can and have utilised to advance the Council Agenda. For example, I am a mentor to the NHS Digital Academy and on the back of that we are developing an Alumni programme that will enable TechUK members to work with the up and coming CIO and CCIO community in the NHS.
I am Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and have a Diploma in Company Direction from the IoD bringing governance and a strong understanding of how Boards should operate to the techUK Council.
I regularly participate in policy focused debates and have represented TechUK in such discussions for example at CogX In 2019 on the subject of AI, etchics and trust.
I’d love the opportunity to serve for a further three years.
